What the Season of Giving Means To Me

The season of giving always reminds me that generosity isn’t measured by the size of a gift.  Personally, I know this is true as I reflect on the most memorable gifts I have received.  As a small child it was the Ms. Piggy pajamas, as a teenager it was a mixtape, as a young adult it was a knitted blanket, and most recently it has been the kind and thoughtful words expressed in cards or people in my life simply making time for me.

Giving doesn’t always need to be elaborate.  A thoughtful gesture, a sincere thank you, or a moment shared can mean more than we realize.  That is the feeling I hope to share through Simpalo, and one for which I am grateful as the season of giving approaches.
